Upcoming Classes

I have openings in quite a few of my Joann's classes, especially some of the kids classes. If you have kids or know of anyone who might be interested these are great fun. Most of the kids classes start at age 8 but I take younger ones in some of them-- just ask me and I can let you know which ones would work for younger kids.
Here are the kids classes we're currently working on filling:
7/20 9:30 to 12:30 Kids Sewing 101-- Introduction to sewing and making a pillowcase.
7/22 & 7/23 9:30-11:30 Kids Sewing 201-- Making elastic waist shorts or pants, or pj pants. Requires Sewing 101 as a prerequisite.
7/25 1:00 - 4:00 Kids Sewing 101-- Introduction to sewing and making a pillowcase.
8/4 12:30-3:30 Kids Crafts-- Memo board. This is a really cool project where we cover a foam board with batting and fabric, then we criss cross ribbon and add some buttons for a really nice bulletin board.
8/10 9:00-12:00 Kids Crafts-- Embellished flip flops. We take a simple pair of inexpensive flip flops and make them wow-worthy. We'll make two different designs in class.
8/19 & 8/20 9:30 - 11:30 Kids Sewing 201-- Making elastic waist shorts or pants, or pj pants. Requires Sewing 101 as a prerequisite.
8/22 1:00 - 4:00 Kids Sewing 101-- Introduction to sewing and making a pillowcase.

I also have openings in a number of adult and teen classes.
7/15 12:30 - 3:00 Sewing 101-- Introduction to sewing and making a pillowcase. If you have never touched a sewing machine, I'll take you from where you are right now to making a super nice pillow case that you will not believe you made-- all in just two and a half hours. No kidding!
7/15 6:00 - 8:30 Sewing 101 - see above
7/25 9:30 - 12:30 Sewing 201 -- Build on the skills you learned in Sewing 101 and make a beautiful, functional tote bag that you'll make over and over again. These are gorgeous!!!
7/27 and 8/3 6:00 - 9:00 PM - Sewing 301-- put all those skills you learned in the previous classes and make yourself a pretty, stylish top and capris. You won't believe you can make this in just your third class-- but you can!

And just for teens, I have a special class for making the same tote bag as in the adult Sewing 201 class. That class meets 8/5 and 8/12 from 10:00-12:00.

And that's not all! These are just some of the classes that already have people signed up for them. That means it's unlikely they'll be canceled if more people sign up. So, go to the store and sign up or email me and let me know what class works for you. In the meantime, I'll post pictures of the samples from these classes. There are lots of other classes too. Click the link on the upper right hand side of this page to see the other classes that are currently available. There's no excuse to be bored this summer!
