Notice to my students and customers

As many of you know, I've been complaining about my back aching the past few weeks. It didn't get better on it's own as I'd hoped. I just learned today that I am having surgery this Friday. Unfortunately, I must cancel all classes and postpone all orders for the time being. I appreciate everyone's understanding and look forward to seeing everyone very soon. I will let you know just as soon as I'm able to resume classes!

College Dresses

If you are interested in learning to make the college dresses you've seen here, on my Facebook page, and elsewhere, I am not going to be able to help you. Due to a recurring conflict, this is one of the only things I will not be teaching. My apologies for any inconvenience.

I will continue to offer the dresses for sale if you would like one.

Upcoming Sales

Hancock Fabric's is having a sale this Saturday and I can't wait because several of the sales I've been waiting for are included. Here's what I'm excited about:
50% off Coats and Clark Zippers
50% off Coats and Clark Thread
50% off Quilting Notions
50% off Pillow Forms
50% off packaged batting and foam
50% off elastic-- packaged and by the yard
50% off Wright's Tapes (bias tape, etc.)

For those that have been waiting for a sale on Gingher scissors, they'll have those on sale for 50% off too.

At Joann's:
99cent Butterick patterns til 7/23
Starting 7/24:
50% off notions(I love that sale!)
40% off Gutterman thread

Are there any other sales around that you've seen that you're excited about?

[By the way, I post these as a service to my readers and my students. I am not in cohoots with Joann's or Hancock or anyone else. You knew that didn't you? I get no compensation of any kind for any of this. Joann's and Hancock probably are not even aware of my existence.]

Creative Kids' Creations

Summer time means Miss M's creative kids have been busy making all kinds of fun projects. Some have made t-shirt creatures/ monsters. They were sewed by hand by kids ages 5 to 10.

Some have been making memo boards. There were made by 6, 7, and 11 year olds.

It's so rewarding to see what young creative minds can do with a little guidance, from choosing fabrics and embellishments to deciding how best to use them to make a design their own. And these are just a few samples.

If you don't see your project here yet, I haven't forgotten you. I'll have everything posted by the weekend.
